Assignment 1.2: Cubic Elevation
Due: Week 3 at the start of class
Assignments are to be pinned up at the start of lab on Monday or Tuesday depending on student's schedule.
Assignment 1.2 Objectives:
Students will develop a series of elevational drawings that explore each face of your cubic exploration.
Assignment 1.2 Deliverables:
For this assignment, you will draw each elevational face of your cubic model.
Your final drawing should:
Produce and compose set of 1 1/2" = 1" elevations on 18" x 24" paper.
This drawing should be rendered with pencil with shade and shadow optional.
Include a title block. The title block should include the following information.
Your name
Name of the assignment
Date
Instructor’s name
Be drawn with three distinct line weights and line control to express visual depth.
There should be a clear use of line weights.

Drawing Control: 80%
Students will demonstrate a clear ability to control line weights, line quality, tone, and texture.
Iteration: 10%
Students will demonstrate a willingness and ability to practice the craft of developing their project. This may require you to model/draw your project multiple times, exploring multiple ideas.
Rigor: 10%
Students will demonstrate a willingness and ability to practice the craft of developing their project. This may require you to draw an item several times. Develop trace underlays or seek assistance when completing a drawing.
