CARL LAUREL COVER DESIGN
CLASS:
This project with an energetic group of 3rd to 5th graders was an investigation and eventual volunteer build project for a space in the schools play and gathering area. Over the course of the class we guided the students through series of exercises that allowed them to explore their school yard and create a new space for themselves. Once the students had generated a wonderful set of ideas we had to translate those concepts into a buildable project. The images below show the process and build.
BUILD WEEKEND:
Over the course of a two day period groups of volenteers were mobilized to create the final product for the Carl Lauro project. This required them to follow a set of instructirions on how to assemle small units that would later be connected into a larger whole.
